A sustainable development plan for the mountain
For several years, Bromont, montagne d’expériences has been committed to sustainable development and has begun taking concrete action that contributes to it. Management decided, in November 2021, to undertake a more formal approach and to situate it within a strategic plan
The 6 aspects of sustainable development
Certified in sustainable tourism
Bromont, montagne d’expériences carried out an exhaustive assessment of its sustainability actions, leading to the award of Silver certification in Sustainable Tourism from GreenStep, the largest certification program for the tourism and hospitality industry in North America. In doing so, we became the first Canadian ski resort to be certified by an organization with criteria recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council!

Our commitment to sustainable tourism by 2030
Bromont, montagne d’expériences has also signed the Commitment to Sustainable Tourism 2030, to demonstrate its commitment to improving the sustainable development performance of its organization and activities by 2030.
The United Nations World Tourism Organization defines sustainable tourism as “[…] tourism that takes full account of its current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, meeting the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and host communities.”
Each year, Bromont, montagne d’expériences measures and enhances its sustainability performance in each of the five identified areas and continues to update its strategic plan. After completing an important first step, we are moving forward with the same conviction and a renewed vision.
