What equipment do you need?
How to dress
To make the most of your day, the important thing is to stay warm and dry. The best way to do this is to dress in layers.
Choose a thermal base layer that keeps you warm and draws away moisture. Avoid cotton because it stays wet and cools quickly.
- Add a warm layer such as a fleece or insulated sweater. It will help you stay cozy between runs.
- Your ski jacket and pants should be waterproof and windproof to protect you from snow and cold.
- Wear long, fitted ski socks, warm waterproof gloves, a hat, a neck warmer (no scarves), and ski goggles so you can see clearly no matter the weather.
SKI, BOOTS, SNOWBOARD?
Skis or Snowboard
For your first time, renting is a great option. You can try, ask questions, and find the equipment that works best for you before buying. In general, skis should come up somewhere between your chin and the top of your head. For a snowboard, it should be slightly shorter than your height to make it easier to handle.
Boots
Boots should fit snugly without being uncomfortable. Your heel should not lift when you bend your knees, and your toes should barely touch the front. Boots that are too big make controlling your skis or snowboard difficult and can cause blisters.
Helmet
Always a good idea, especially for beginners. It should fit well and be comfortable, without moving when you shake your head.
The good news is that you can rent your skis or snowboard, boots, and helmet right on site. Our team is there to help you choose the right equipment and prepare the perfect kit for your first day.
Where should I go for my first run?
Everything starts at the Learning Slope, designed for first-timers. With our three magic carpets, you can go up effortlessly and save your energy for your first “pizza slice” turns. On the specially prepared learning slope, you can link your first turns, build confidence, and enjoy your first runs safely. Once you have mastered the Beginner Slope, continue your progression on Mont Soleil, an ideal area to keep improving at your own pace.

Should I take a lesson?

Learning to ski or snowboard is much more enjoyable when you start off on the right foot.
An introductory lesson is the best way to discover the sport without stress and with the right techniques. Our instructors help you find your balance, improve quickly, and have fun from your very first run.
The result : more enjoyment and the desire to come back again.
How does parking work?
We have four parking lots in total. Lots P1 and P2 are located on the Versant du Village, which is the main side where the Learning Slope and Mont Soleil are found. P4 is also part of the Versant du Village and includes a shuttle that brings you easily to the base area. P5 serves the Versant du Lac.
What should I do when I arrive at the mountain?

For a smooth first day, we recommend buying your tickets online in advance to get the best rate and avoid lineups at the Ticket Office. It is also a good idea to reserve your equipment before your visit so everything is ready when you arrive. Once you get to the mountain, pick up your access card easily at the Pick-Up boxes or directly at the Rental Shop if you reserved equipment.
