Week of September 29

Redevelopment at the Base of the Mountain

Last weekend to enjoy the chairlifts, and here’s what’s happening on the trails:

  • Addition of a bridge over the sledding area at the bottom of La Sept (7) (green bridge? ;))
  • Addition of two jumps below the lifts at the Village
  • Rerouting of La Grande Douce (21) to make the experience easier for beginners

For the past two weeks, our team has been busy reworking the base of the mountain on the Versant du Village. We’ve redesigned the bottom of La Sept (7) and Grande Douce (21) to make them easier to maintain, more enjoyable to ride, and to add a little “wow” factor under the lifts. We want the arrival at the Village to feel just as satisfying as the descent.

Psst! We’re already thinking about winter! Our teams have started maintaining the snow park features. Follow @bromont_park on Instagram to stay up to date.

Week of September 8

Over the past few weeks, we’ve rebuilt a section in the middle of Extra-Légère (5) that was pretty technical. We shaped a beautiful flow of berms, and the result is smooth as butter! 😉 Thanks to all the recent rain, the conditions have improved a lot, the trails are now nicely packed and perfect for testing. Come give it a try if you haven’t already!

Extra-Légère (5)

On the Versant du Lac mountainside, work is underway on Kawabunga (56), starting from the flat section of Toronto run (Pitt à Gilles). These major upgrades aim to turn this stretch into a progressive intermediate-level jump line. The crew’s goal is to build the perfect trail to help you level up your jumping skills.

Good news! A small section will be open as of this weekend. This project kicked off this year and will continue next season, consider this part a sneak peek of what’s to come!

Week of August 18

It’s dry… but still 100% open!

As you’ve probably noticed, the trails are extremely dry right now! With the sandy soil, nothing stays in place, which makes major trail work almost impossible. We’re unfortunately waiting on a bit of rain to moisten things up. In the meantime, the team is focusing on surface maintenance: removing rocks and roots so your rides remain enjoyable.

By the way, we’re looking for a trail maintenance laborer to help us finish the season! Start immediately until the end of October. Full-time daytime schedule, Monday to Friday. Apply here!

Week of August 4

This week, we’re inviting you to (re)discover La Grande Douce (21)! We’ve redesigned the section that runs alongside the Grizzly trail to make it more beginner-friendly. It was the perfect opportunity to soften the slope, smooth out tight turns, and give the trail a solid tune-up.

Grande Douce (21)

The team had a lot of fun with their new toy: a tiltrotator! This tool allows the excavator to work at all angles and enables the bucket to pivot in every direction. It helps us be even more precise on the ground and minimizes the amount of manual finishing required after the excavator has passed.

On the Extra-Légère (5) side, work is still underway. A brand new section is opening very soon! Keep following us on social media, especially Instagram, so you don’t miss a thing: @bromont_park #bromontexperience

The season is far from over! Our trails and lifts will be open through Monday, October 13. See detailed schedule

Week of July 7

Since our last blog, things are still rolling strong on the mountain! Here are the latest mountain biking updates:

The team is continuing their hard work to maintain trail quality. King (23) and La Veuse (57) have received lots of love lately, fresh berms are waiting for you! Berminator (9) remains the fan favorite! Built with the help of Les Amis des Sentiers, it’s still getting unanimous love from riders. We even put together a short REEL with our ambassadors, Tristan and Sam, who break down the best lines for you. Check it out!

As for the summit, Mother Nature threw a few curveballs our way. We had to adjust our plans, causing a slight delay, but we’re staying on track! The goal is still to wrap things up by the first weekend of construction holidays.

On the event side, we hosted the Quebec Downhill Championships alongside the Festival Gravité last weekend! High-level racing, great vibes, and a trail crew that went all out to deliver top-notch tracks. Huge shoutout to all the riders and big thanks to everyone who came to cheer them on!

See you this Thursday, July 10, for the second race of the Pittstop No Chain Party series. The third and final race happens on Thursday, July 17: The Finale! Thursday night riding wraps up on July 24, make the most of it and ride until 8 PM every Thursday until then. In September, we’re hosting the Canadian VDM Enduro Championships. You won’t want to miss it!

Planning a mountain getaway? Think Apex! Our multi-day tickets help you save while getting the most out of your rides. Enjoy!

Week of June 16

Big changes underway at the top!

Things have been busy on the mountain lately! The team is hard at work in the upper Mont Brome sector, where some of the most popular trails begin like La Sept (7), Extra-Légère (5), Grande Douce (21), and Kawabunga (56). We’re talking about a full overhaul of the area, with machine work underway to improve traffic flow and safety for all users. The goal is to better separate user types (bikers/hikers) and skill levels to eliminate risky crossings. Some trails are being relocated to create a better-designed, smoother and more enjoyable network.

Over on the Versant du Lac side, maintenance is currently underway on the La Vabo trail (57), and the surface of Banana Split (51) has been refreshed. Give them a try this weekend!

Have you tried the new Berminator (9)?

The trail was revamped by Les Amis des sentiers, with a new line added under the lift at the top of the Versant du Lac. It’s our race track, and it definitely needed a bit of love! It’s now becoming one of the mountain’s signature trails. If you haven’t ridden it yet, go give it a try and don’t forget to tag us in your posts! Watch the POV by Les Amis des sentiers

Pittstop Race Postponed

Due to uncertain weather — and to make sure we keep the best vibes possible — the No Chain Party race originally scheduled for this Thursday, June 19, has been postponed to Thursday, July 10. As a result, the third and final race, La Finale, will also be pushed back one week and will now take place on Thursday, July 17.

Don’t miss the Quebec Downhill Championships at Festival Gravité, happening the weekend of July 4–5–6!

Week of June 2

A challenging but promising start to the season on the mountain!

Let’s be honest, the season’s off to a more demanding start than usual. Since opening day, the rain has made an appearance almost every weekend. Still, our team remains committed and motivated to bring you a top-quality trail network, soon to be 100% open.

Surface maintenance has been carried out all over the mountain to repair the damage caused by the rainfall and ensure the best possible experience as soon as conditions allow. Several sections have also been reworked, including the popular Banana Split (51). Go check it out!

On the events side, the season kicked off strong with the first Pittstop race, “Fiesta in the Wood,” held last Thursday on the upper Kawabunga (56) and La Vabo (57) trails. It was a great success! Next up: Thursday, June 12, for the “No Chain Party” edition.

For the past few weeks, reconstruction work has been underway on the Berminator trail (9), which was originally scheduled to open the weekend of May 31–June 1. This rebuild is designed with you in mind, to offer a high-quality track, especially with future races in sight. Unfortunately, some riders ignored the signage and rode the trail anyway, causing significant damage. As a result, the work has to be redone, and the trail’s opening is now delayed by about two weeks.

Quick reminder: trail closures are there for a reason.

  • To ensure your safety (excavators on the trail, unfinished terrain, etc.);
  • To protect the work done by our team and contractors;
  • To stay on schedule and deliver the best experience possible.

A closed trail isn’t a suggestion, it’s a clear rule. When you ignore the signage, you’re not just disrespecting the trail builders’ hard work — you’re also letting down the entire riding community that’s eagerly waiting for the trails to open.

Thank you for being mindful of this, and a big thank you to everyone who’s already respecting the rules.

Our Blog Is Back!

Week of April 28, 2025 – The biking season is fast approaching, and our team has been hard at work since Easter Monday getting the network back into shape! As we do every spring, we start by walking all the trails to assess the damage left behind by the melting snow — and yes, there’s still snow in several crossings that needs to be cleared so the ground can dry out properly.

This year, we’re taking on a new project: we’re rebuilding the iconic bridge at the bottom of La Sept (yep, the Drop it like it’s hot, the Flat down, the bridge over 21, the one at the BBQ and Aigre-douce crossing — you know exactly what we’re talking about 😉).

Every trail will get some rake-and-shovel love over the next few weeks to ensure you have the best possible experience on opening day. We already have 7 trail builders out on the mountain… but we’re still looking for reinforcements to round out the crew. Interested? Check out the job posting!

Opening Day: Friday, May 16

For the first weekend, from May 16 to 21, access will be exclusively reserved for season pass holders and Apex multi-day pass holders. If you haven’t already, now’s the time to grab your season pass at the best price of the year. Be among the first to hop on the lift this season — we can’t wait to see you!
