Défi rando is back!
This year, discover two themed weekends with Helly Hansen. Take part in the Competitive challenge on Saturday, September 19, or the Recreational challenge on the weekend of September 26-27, for your chance to win great prizes! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced trail runner, it’s the perfect opportunity to discover an inclusive and welcoming organized race experience.

THE CHALLENGE
Take part in a handicap race with the Club de trail de Bromont! Meet the team under the Helly Hansen tent at the foot of the Versant du Village to register. The race is open to everyone (a hiking trail ticket is required). The concept is simple: runners don’t all start at the same time.
Join us for a fun and friendly race where the goal is to be the first to cross the finish line! The 7 km loop includes an ascent via La Prétentieuse and a descent via La Grande Douce. Don’t miss the aid station at the summit of Mount Brome, featuring Brix products!
PRIZES TO BE WON
$100 gift cards will be awarded to the first three men and three women to cross the finish line, along with several prizes from the Club de trail de Bromont.
SCHEDULE
Participants estimated to be the slowest on the course start first, based on the statistics collected during registration that morning. Faster runners then start a few minutes later, in successive waves.
Four waves will be set based on estimated uphill times:
- 8:30 AM : Participant arrival
- 9:00 AM: Over 35 minutes — hiking pace or easy ascent
- 9:05 AM: Under 30 minutes
- 9:10 AM: Under 25 minutes
- 9:15 AM: Under 20 minutes
- 11 AM : Challenge ends
After the challenge, starting at 11 AM, take part in a variety of activities at the foot of the mountain and enjoy a performance as part of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FICG).

FICG TAKES OVER THE MOUNTAIN
All weekend long, catch the FICG artists’ show, featuring talented semi-finalists from the 2025 edition! Head to the outdoor stage at the foot of the slopes for live music and a festive atmosphere, Saturday starting at 11 AM and Sunday starting at 1 PM.

Among the games in the activity zone, discover our giant “Guess Who?” game, bean bag toss, soccer pool, bola toss, and more.
