It wouldn&#8217;t be surprising\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The entire Quebec mountain bike community should know this former Olympic coach who ..:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has over 20 years of experience in mountain biking&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>Was the first coach at the National Cycling Centre in Bromont.<\/li>\n<li>Coached the Quebec team<\/li>\n<li>Coached the national team for 10 years, mainly youth between 14 and 23 years old.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When he heard that Bromont, montagne d&#8217;exp\u00e9riences was launching its own bike school, he didn&#8217;t hesitate to offer his services. So he became a consultant, instructor&#8217;s trainer and instructor as well. He doesn&#8217;t do things by halves and his expertise is welcome.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past three years, he notes that the popularity of mountain biking has been on the rise. Families are interested in it. The &#8220;old-timers&#8221; are dusting off their bikes. And more and more women are contacting him to start cycling on a good footing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But even the most seasoned riders still have a lot to learn. He himself gets coached a few times a year to eradicate bad folds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The turn is definitely the most difficult manoeuvre to learn and master. It&#8217;s the situation where all the skills are required and it&#8217;s often the right turns that make the difference in piloting. &#8220;Ian Hughes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s improving positioning on the bike, honing his skills, improving his performance on rough trails, tackling bigger dops, Ian can work all that &#8211; and more &#8211; with anyone who wants to take it to the next level. His goal: to take his students to the next level. At the same time, he reminds us that YouTube videos unfortunately only offer incomplete information and will never replace the observation and feedback service.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Although his expertise is in demand for the more advanced, Ian stresses that it is essential for beginners and intermediates to acquire a solid foundation from the start in order to progress safely. We are fortunate to have a superb mountain that has nothing to envy the major centres in Western Canada or the United States.
