We\u2019ve redesigned the bottom of La Sept (7) and Grande Douce (21) to make them easier to maintain, more enjoyable to ride, and to add a little \u201cwow\u201d factor under the lifts. We shaped a beautiful flow of berms, and the result is smooth as butter! \ud83d\ude09 Thanks to all the recent rain, the conditions have improved a lot, the trails are now nicely packed and perfect for testing. These major upgrades aim to turn this stretch into a progressive intermediate-level jump line. The crew\u2019s goal is to build the perfect trail to help you level up your jumping skills.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"380\" data-end=\"558\">Good news! A small section will be open as of this weekend. With the sandy soil, nothing stays in place, which makes major trail work almost impossible. We\u2019re unfortunately waiting on a bit of rain to moisten things up. In the meantime, the team is focusing on surface maintenance: removing rocks and roots so your rides remain enjoyable.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, we\u2019re looking for a trail maintenance laborer to help us finish the season! The team is hard at work in the upper Mont Brome sector, where some of the most popular trails begin like La Sept (7), Extra-L\u00e9g\u00e8re (5), Grande Douce (21), and Kawabunga (56). We\u2019re talking about a full overhaul of the area, with machine work underway to improve traffic flow and safety for all users. The goal is to better separate user types (bikers\/hikers) and skill levels to eliminate risky crossings. Some trails are being relocated to create a better-designed, smoother and more enjoyable network.<\/p>\n<p>Over on the Versant du Lac side, maintenance is currently underway on the La Vabo trail (57), and the surface of Banana Split (51) has been refreshed. Give them a try this weekend!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"70\" data-end=\"112\">Have you tried the new Berminator (9)?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The trail was revamped by Les Amis des sentiers, with a new line added under the lift at the top of the Versant du Lac. Since opening day, the rain has made an appearance almost every weekend. Still, our team remains committed and motivated to bring you a top-quality trail network, soon to be 100% open.<\/p>\n<p>Surface maintenance has been carried out all over the mountain to repair the damage caused by the rainfall and ensure the best possible experience as soon as conditions allow. Several sections have also been reworked, including the popular Banana Split (51). Go check it out!<\/p>\n<p>On the events side, the season kicked off strong with the first Pittstop race, \u201cFiesta in the Wood,\u201d held last Thursday on the upper Kawabunga (56) and La Vabo (57) trails. It was a great success! This rebuild is designed with you in mind, to offer a high-quality track, especially with future races in sight. Unfortunately, some riders ignored the signage and rode the trail anyway, causing significant damage. As we do every spring, we start by walking all the trails to assess the damage left behind by the melting snow \u2014 and yes, there\u2019s still snow in several crossings that needs to be cleared so the ground can dry out properly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"731\">This year, we\u2019re taking on a new project: we\u2019re rebuilding the iconic bridge at the bottom of <em data-start=\"553\" data-end=\"562\">La Sept<\/em> (yep, the <em data-start=\"573\" data-end=\"596\">Drop it like it\u2019s hot<\/em>, the <em data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"613\">Flat down<\/em>, the bridge over <em data-start=\"631\" data-end=\"635\">21<\/em>, the one at the BBQ and <em data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"673\">Aigre-douce<\/em> crossing \u2014 you know exactly what we\u2019re talking about \ud83d\ude09).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1026\">Every trail will get some rake-and-shovel love over the next few weeks to ensure you have the best possible experience on opening day. We already have 7 trail builders out on the mountain\u2026 but we\u2019re still looking for reinforcements to round out the crew.
