We are continuing to invest in snowmaking with the addition of 10 next-generation fan snow guns for the 2024-25 season. This cutting-edge technology allows us to automate our snowmaking system and produce snow much faster during cold periods. We have embarked on a major three-phase transition to LED lighting for all the lights on our ski slopes and in our buildings. By the start of the 2024-25 season, the first phase was completed, highlighted by the replacement of the lights on the slopes of the Versant du Village. Bromont, montagne d\u2019exp\u00e9riences received a grant from the Fonds Ecoleader to conduct its carbon footprint assessment. In collaboration with D\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique de l’agglom\u00e9ration de Longueuil, we analyzed the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our operations. Last fall, we brought in the large plants that decorated the Water Park and distributed them among the offices. We offer customers the possibility of offsetting their greenhouse gas emissions for their trip to the mountain. The option is suggested when purchasing online. All contributions are donated to\u00a0Carbone Bor\u00e9al<\/a>\u00a0and will be used to finance plantations located mainly in Quebec\u2019s boreal forest, but also on parcels of unused farmland.<\/p>\n

In order to contribute to responsible mobility and optimize our customers’ commute, a shuttle system has been set up for the 2023-24 ski season. This system serves the occupants of 5 condominiums close to the mountain. Users can even follow the shuttle’s route in real time! A small bottle sorting center opened at the mountain in November 2021. Thanks to the Pleins Rayons apprentices who are now employed in the Hygiene and Sanitation and Food Services teams, we successfully diverted over 77,000 bottles and cans from landfill between May 1, 2023 and April 30, 2024! The 3rd floor of the administration building is being renovated. So we took advantage of this major clean-up to give a second life to furniture that would no longer be of use to us. Our teams sort each of our construction materials with a view to recycling them. The Centre de tri de r\u00e9sidus de construction de Bromont then collects them to give them a second life. The mountain is offering free beginner ski and snowboard lessons to Bromont residents. Starting in December 2024, Bromont residents, young and old, who want to learn to ski and snowboard can do so in complete safety during 4 Premi\u00e8re glisse lessons that will take place exclusively on the Pente-\u00c9cole.<\/p>\n

Premi\u00e8re glisse introductory courses are specially designed for people who have never skied or snowboarded before. It\u2019s a 90-minute group lesson that also includes ski or snowboard equipment rental.<\/p>\n

The mountain is an integral part of Bromont’s lifestyle, and this initiative aims to ensure that as many citizens as possible can enjoy it. To this end, over 600 Mont Soleil passes have been issued for the 2023-2024 season!<\/p>\n
